Terms & Condition
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Fontly's font generation services, website, and platform. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Fontly Ltd ("Fontly", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and Fontly Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 13845201, with our registered office at 14th Floor, 1 Canada Square, London E14 5AB. These Terms govern your access to and use of the Fontly website, platform, applications, and all associated services (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing our website at fontly.co.uk or any of our sub-domains, creating an account, purchasing a subscription, downloading fonts, or otherwise using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately cease all use of our Services and leave the website. Your continued use of the Services after the publication of any amended Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence to enter into these Terms and use our Services. If you are under the required age, you may only use our Services under the supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.
- You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. This means you are not barred from doing so under any applicable law, and you are not subject to any legal disability that would prevent you from forming a legally enforceable agreement.
- By using our Services, you represent and warrant that all information you provide to us is truthful, accurate, complete, and current, and that you will promptly update such information if it changes.
These Terms are supplementary to and should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy, these Terms shall prevail in relation to the provision and use of our Services.
Account Registration & Security
To access certain features of our Services, you may be required to register for a Fontly account. When creating an account, you must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information, including a valid email address and a secure password. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Failure to safeguard your account details may result in unauthorised access and potential misuse of your subscription.
Account Obligations
- 1Unique Account — Each individual or business entity may maintain only one active account at a time. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits, access free trials more than once, or exploit promotional offers is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate suspension of all associated accounts without prior notice.
- 2Secure Credentials — You must choose a strong password that includes a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) for your account to provide an additional layer of security against unauthorised access.
- 3Notification of Breach — You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account, password, or any other breach of security you become aware of. We will take reasonable steps to investigate and remediate any reported security incidents promptly.
- 4Account Responsibility — You acknowledge and agree that all activities conducted through your account are your responsibility, whether or not you authorised such activities. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the misuse of your account credentials by a third party.
We reserve the right to suspend, disable, or terminate your account at our sole discretion if we reasonably believe you have violated any provision of these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or abusive behaviour, or if your account poses a security risk to our platform or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will cease immediately.

In particular, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the use of, or inability to use, our Services shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or £1,000, whichever is greater. Our Services may contain links to third-party websites, applications, plugins, and services that are not owned or controlled by Fontly Ltd. These third-party services are provided for your convenience and information only. - Cloud Hosting — Our platform is hosted on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure (AWS / Google Cloud). These providers maintain their own security, availability, and data processing terms, which complement but are separate from our obligations under these Terms.
- Analytics — We may use third-party analytics tools such as Google Analytics to collect anonymised usage data for platform improvement purposes. These tools operate under their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.
The inclusion of any link or reference to a third-party service does not imply our endorsement, recommendation, or affiliation. We recommend that you review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party service before engaging with it. We accept no liability for any loss or damage caused by your reliance on third-party services.
Modifications & Termination
We reserve the right to modify, amend, or update these Terms at any time in our sole discretion. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the revised Terms on our website with a new "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, by sending you an email notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Right to Terminate
- 1By You — You may terminate your account and stop using the Services at any time by contacting our support team or using the account closure feature in your dashboard. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Any fees paid for the current billing period are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in Section 4 (Refund Policy).
- 2By Fontly — We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Services immediately, without prior notice, if we determine, in our reasonable judgement, that you have violated any provision of these Terms, engaged in abusive or fraudulent conduct, or if continued access poses a risk to our platform or other users.

Surviving Clauses
The following provisions shall survive the termination or expiry of these Terms: Intellectual Property & Licensing (Section 6), Prohibited Activities (Section 7), Limitation of Liability (Section 9), and Disputes & Governing Law (Section 12). These provisions remain in full force and effect even after your account is closed or your use of the Services has ceased.
Disputes, Governing Law & Contact
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Both you and Fontly agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any disputes that may arise in connection with these Terms. This does not prevent either party from seeking injunctive relief in any jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm.
Dispute Resolution
Before commencing any legal proceedings, we encourage you to first contact our support team to attempt to resolve the issue informally. We are committed to addressing your concerns fairly and efficiently. Most disputes can be resolved through open communication, and we will make every reasonable effort to reach an amicable solution within 30 days of receiving your complaint.
If informal resolution is unsuccessful, either party may submit the dispute to binding arbitration administered by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) under its Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall be conducted in English, and the seat of arbitration shall be London, United Kingdom. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding, and judgement upon the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The failure of either party to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
